The first batch of English Honours along with the faculty members had an amazing opportunity to conduct the induction program for the new batch of 2019-22. The students had put their heart and soul to make this event a success.

The Induction began at 1:00 p.m. with the auspicious ritual of lamp lighting by the Facultymembers. It would have been incomplete without a dance performance. So, next came amesmerizing Bharatnatyam dance by a student, enthusiastically witnessed by the audience along with claps on the beats. Then, the students sung the Saraswati Vandana and invoked Goddess Saraswati for her blessings which touched the hearts of many along with a chorus song. At 1:20p.m. Dr Salonee Priya, the Associate Dean of VSES addressed the students with her warm and welcoming words. After that inspiring speech, a power point presentation enlisted the code of conduct, examination system, the library facilities and all the endeavours, which the school had accomplished in the past one year. The presentation highlighted the details of the Faculty Members and the previous year’s achievements.

From the fun classes to the grand Fest of VSES, it took everyone back to the corridors of memories and everyone was filled with happiness and content. Later, the faculty members introduced themselves to the new batch and welcomed the new students on board with their love and support. Then a few students recited their self-composed poems and they were appreciated by the audience. Five students came forward to share their experiences as a part of this course and college. The stories sounded very close to their hearts and how happy they were to be a part of this family which just grew a little bigger.

The next one hour was taken by “Literographia”, which was an act performed by students showcasing the History of English Literature. It was a unique representation of the stalwarts of English Literature along with a slide show in the background. It was indeed an in-depth act which was full of zeal and knowledge. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Hardeep. The Induction Programme was a great success and was appreciated by all.
